The new executive order on waste, along with new collection and sorting instructions, have just been out for consultation. Elretur remains positive when it comes to streamlining the waste sorting process for citizens. For example, all municipalities are encouraged to establish collection schemes for batteries and small electronics. At the same time, we have pointed out that the focus on efficiency and sorting quality, especially in terms of battery collection, is lacking and should be improved. Elretur therefore proposes an analysis of whether the efficiency and quality of the collection scheme for batteries can be improved. In addition, we have of course provided our professional input on how specific products such as powerbanks and electric bicycles should be sorted.
