This will be a consequence of the proposal that the Danish Environmental Protection Agency has sent out for consultation. Today, producers report their sales of covered equipment and collected quantities of electronic waste and spent batteries to the producer register (DPA-System). According to the proposal, manufacturers must also report the collected electronic waste and batteries to the Waste Data System (Affaldsdatasystemet). Reporting the same quantities twice results in greater administrative burdens and greater expenditure, but not a better environment. You can see Elretur’s consultation response here.
